In Jessie season 4 episode 2, titled "Kids Don't Wanna Be Shunned," our beloved nanny Jessie Prescott finds herself in a bit of a pickle when she realizes that one of the kids in her care, Stuart, is being excluded by his classmates. Stuart, who is a new student at Walden Academy, is being shunned by the kids in his class for seemingly no reason at all. Jessie is determined to get to the bottom of it and help Stuart make some friends.

Throughout the episode, Jessie tries to get to the bottom of why the kids are shunning Stuart. She talks to his teacher, Mrs. Devlin, who tells her that she doesn't know what's going on but that she will keep an eye on things. Jessie then decides to talk to the kids directly and try to get them to open up about why they don't like Stuart. After much prodding, they finally reveal that Stuart smells bad, eats weird food, and has a strange accent. Jessie realizes that the kids are just being silly and decides to put a stop to it.

Jessie comes up with a plan to help Stuart fit in and make some friends. She sets up a food swap, where each of the kids brings in a dish that is unique to their culture, and they all try each other's food. Stuart brings in a traditional Scottish dish, haggis, which he explains is made from sheep's organs. The kids are a bit hesitant at first, but they all try it and end up loving it. Jessie then leads a discussion about how everyone is different and that's what makes us special. The kids start to realize that just because someone is different, it doesn't mean they should be shunned.

Meanwhile, Jessie's boyfriend Brooks is preparing to move to Africa for a year to work with endangered animals. Jessie is struggling with the idea of being apart from him for so long and starts to wonder if long-distance relationships really work. She talks to her friend, Emma, about it and Emma tells her about how her parents are experts at making long-distance relationships work. She gives Jessie some advice on how to make it work, like setting up regular video chats and surprises in the mail.

The episode ends with Stuart finally making some friends and fitting in at school. Jessie is also feeling better about the idea of a long-distance relationship with Brooks and is excited to give it a try. It's a heartwarming episode that teaches us about accepting others, even when they're different, and how to make long-distance relationships work.
