Jessie is an American television sitcom show which airs on the Disney Channel. The show features a young woman named Jessie, who moves to New York City from Texas and becomes a nanny for four children of a wealthy couple. In season 3 episode 3 of Jessie, titled "Make New Friends But Hide the Old," Jessie finds herself in a dilemma when she reconciles with an old friend while trying to make new ones.
The episode starts with Jessie trying to juggle her new job as a TV show intern with her nanny duties. She's supposed to be taking care of the Ross children, Emma, Zuri, Luke, and Ravi, but instead, she keeps sneaking off to work on her TV show's set. Her boss, Shaylee Michaels, thinks Jessie is doing a great job, but Zuri isn't too happy with her. She feels neglected and thinks Jessie doesn't care about her anymore.
To make things worse, Jessie runs into an old friend from Texas, Darla, who is in New York City for a modeling gig. Darla and Jessie were best friends back in Texas, but they lost touch when Jessie moved to New York. Darla is excited to see Jessie again and invites her to a party that night.
Jessie is thrilled to see her old friend, but she's also worried about how her new friends will react. She doesn't want to hurt Zuri's feelings or make the other children feel left out. So she decides to invite everyone to the party, hoping that they can all get to know each other better. But when they arrive at the party, things don't go as planned.
Darla's friends are all shallow and self-centered, and they make fun of Jessie's new friends. The children feel uncomfortable and out of place, and Zuri is especially hurt by Darla's behavior. Jessie realizes that she has to choose between her new friends and her old ones.
In the end, Jessie decides that she doesn't want to be friends with someone who doesn't accept her for who she is. She tells Darla that she can't hang out with her anymore and apologizes to the children for bringing them to such an uncomfortable situation. She then takes them all out for ice cream and promises to make it up to them.
The episode ends with Jessie and the children bonding over ice cream, and Jessie realizing that she doesn't have to choose between her old friends and her new ones. She can have both by being herself and accepting others for who they are.
Overall, season 3 episode 3 of Jessie is a fun and heartwarming episode about the importance of staying true to yourself and the value of friendships. With its relatable characters and meaningful message, it's a great addition to the Jessie series.
