Ep 1. Starbright (1): Falling Star

Jem and the Holograms season 2 is a great continuation to the series which follows the story of a young woman Jerrica Benton who transforms into a pop star persona named Jem with the help of a holographic computer, Synergy. In the first episode of the season 2, named "Starbright (1): Falling Star," the girls from Jem and the Holograms have some unexpected events coming their way.

The episode starts with Jem and the Holograms performing at a benefit concert for the Starlight Children's Foundation. Suddenly, a firework from outside the building knocks out the power, and the concert has to be stopped. Jerrica finds out that the Starlight Foundation is having financial problems as it is facing bankruptcy and is about to close down. Jerrica, being the sole owner of the foundation, decides to take action and find a way to save it.

The girls, including the members of Jem and the Holograms - Kimber, Aja, and Shana - come up with a plan to perform another concert on a yacht, hosted by three very wealthy businessmen. They plan to use the money earned from the concert to save the Starlight Foundation. However, the girls have no idea that the yacht is actually owned by Eric Raymond, their arch-rival, who is planning to sabotage the concert.

Meanwhile, Jerrica's love interest, Rio, gets a job as a DJ in a disco owned by one of the three businessmen hosting the concert. Rio discovers that the businessmen are drug dealers and that they have stolen a new experimental drug called "glitter" from a pharmaceutical company. Rio decides to find evidence of their activities and stop them from selling the drug.

Back at the concert, things are going well until Eric and his rival band, The Misfits, arrive and start to chase Jem and the Holograms around the yacht. However, unbeknownst to them, the yacht is actually rigged with explosives. When one of The Misfits throws a firework, the yacht explodes and all the party-goers fall into the water. It is uncertain who, if anyone, survived.

The episode ends on a cliffhanger, leaving viewers on the edge of their seat and eagerly waiting to know what happens next. With a mix of action, drama, and mystery, "Starbright (1): Falling Star" sets the stage for a thrilling new season of Jem and the Holograms.
