Saw Boss tricks Iridel, the Mistress of Soul Tree, telling her Jayce is evil and the root belongs to him. Iridel gets the root and uses the plant life to imprison Jayce. Saw Boss' evil is revealed to her but not before he gains control of Soul Tree and increases his strength. Jayce and Iridel use the root's power to thwart Saw Boss. Iridel then uses Soul Tree to revive the exhausted root making it a part of the tree which will keep Saw Boss away forever.
