Ep 17. A Bad Case of the Barnacles! / Cubby's Pet Problem

Jake and the Never Land Pirates season two episode 17 features two mini-episodes, A Bad Case of the Barnacles! and Cubby's Pet Problem.

In A Bad Case of the Barnacles!, Jake and his crew return to their ship after a long day of treasure hunting to find that it's covered in barnacles. The barnacles are not only making the ship look unsightly but they're also slowing it down. Jake, Izzy, and Cubby try to scrape off the barnacles, but they quickly realize it's going to take a lot of work. They decide to head to the Hidden Cove to ask Captain Hook if he knows of any way to get rid of the barnacles.

When the pirates reach the Hidden Cove, they find that Captain Hook has the same problem. In fact, his ship is covered in even more barnacles. Hook tells them that the only way to get rid of them is to use Barnacle Blaster, a special solution that's only available on a nearby island. Captain Hook offers to take Jake and his crew to the island if they help him first. Captain Hook explains that he was supposed to meet his old pal, Captain Flynn, to collect a special treasure, but Captain Flynn isn't responding to his messages.

Jake agrees to help Hook find Captain Flynn, and they all set off to look for him. They eventually find Captain Flynn's ship, but it's deserted. Or so they think. As it turns out, Captain Flynn has been turned into a barnacle monster by a cursed treasure he found. Jake and his crew come up with a plan to help Captain Flynn get rid of the curse. Once the curse is lifted, Captain Flynn hands over the special treasure Hook was after. They all return to their ships and float in the sea, allowing Barnacle Blaster to take care of the barnacles.

In the second mini-episode, Cubby's Pet Problem, the crew discovers a cute little baby sea serpent washed up on shore. Cubby quickly falls in love with the serpent and decides to name it Shelley. However, they soon realize that Shelley has a big problem – she has no family and nowhere to go. Jake, Izzy, and Cubby decide to help Shelley find her family. They follow her back to her home in a hidden cave. Once they arrive, they discover that Shelley's family has been captured by Captain Hook and Mr. Smee. They're planning to sell them to Lord Fathom, the evil ruler of the Never Sea.

Jake and his crew come up with a plan to rescue Shelley's family. They sneak onto Captain Hook's ship and rescue the sea serpents, but not before they're caught by Captain Hook. Captain Hook plans to feed them all to the hungry sharks, but Jake and his crew come up with a plan to stop him. They use Shelley's talent for mimicking sounds to trick the sharks into thinking that there's a much bigger and more dangerous creature in the water, scaring them off. With the sharks gone, Jake and his crew are able to safely return Shelley and her family to their cave.

Overall, Jake and the Never Land Pirates season two episode 17 is filled with exciting pirate adventures. From fighting barnacle monsters to saving sea serpents from Captain Hook, Jake and his crew show that bravery and teamwork can conquer any challenge.
