In JAG season 6 episode 17, titled "Valor", the team at the Judge Advocate General's office are tasked with evaluating the bravery of a Navy SEAL who died during a covert mission in Bosnia. As they review the SEAL's actions leading up to his death, they begin to uncover a larger conspiracy involving stolen weapons and a possible link to the CIA.

Lieutenant Roberts, the SEAL's former commanding officer, is initially resistant to discussing the events leading up to his soldier's death. But as the JAG team presses him for details, he begins to reveal a complex and troubling story. According to Roberts, the SEAL team was sent into Bosnia to locate and retrieve a cache of stolen weapons, which had been taken by rogue CIA agents and hidden in a remote village. The mission quickly went awry, however, when the SEALs realized they weren't the only ones looking for the weapons. A group of Bosnian Serb soldiers had also identified the village as a possible source of illicit arms, and were preparing to launch an attack.

Despite the odds against them, the SEAL team refused to back down. They engaged the Bosnian Serb soldiers in a fierce battle, ultimately managing to capture the weapons and secure their exit from the village. But as they were leaving, a sniper opened fire and took out one of the SEALs -- the same soldier whose actions are being evaluated by the JAG team.

As the JAG team continues to investigate, they begin to uncover a series of lies and betrayals that call into question the larger mission in Bosnia. It becomes clear that the stolen weapons were intended for use in a larger conspiracy involving international arms sales and political maneuvering. And as the team digs deeper, they realize that they may have stumbled onto a dangerous and far-reaching web of corruption that could have serious consequences for national security.

As they work to connect the dots and bring the truth to light, the JAG team must also grapple with the personal toll of this mission. The SEAL's family is still reeling from his loss, and their anguish is compounded by the knowledge that their son's bravery may have been for naught. Meanwhile, Lieutenant Roberts must confront his own role in the mission and come to terms with the ways in which he may have failed his men.

Through it all, "Valor" is a tense and emotionally charged exploration of the sacrifices that military personnel make in service of their country -- and the complex political realities that can often undermine their efforts. With its intricate plot twists, compelling characters, and high-stakes storytelling, this episode of JAG is a powerful reminder of the importance of telling the stories of those who serve.
