Ep 1. Legacy (1)

After five seasons spent following the thrilling lives of lawyers and officers in the Judge Advocate General (JAG) Corps of the United States Navy, JAG returns with season 6 episode 1 in an installment titled Legacy (1).

As the episode begins, our lead protagonist, Commander Harmon Rabb Jr. (played by David James Elliott), finds himself embroiled in a case related to his family's past. When his estranged father disappears, Rabb is tasked with locating him. In doing so, he stumbles upon a significant military cover-up and an unsolved mystery that could ultimately lead him to his own true heritage.

Meanwhile, Lieutenant Bud Roberts (played by Patrick Labyorteaux) and Congresswoman Bobbi Latham (played by Anne-Marie Johnson) are launching an investigation into a hotel fire that claimed the lives of three Navy officers and the son of a powerful Washington D.C. figure. But as they pursue the truth, they also risk their careers and the lives of those around them.

As the two storylines unfold, another subplot emerges involving Major Sarah "Mac" MacKenzie (played by Catherine Bell) and Gunnery Sergeant Victor Galindez (played by Michael Bellisario). Galindez has been accused of injuring a civilian during a fight at a bar in Nicaragua, and Mac must decide how to balance justice with loyalty to a fellow Marine.

Throughout Legacy (1), the relationships between the characters continue to evolve and deepen. Rabb, haunted by his father's sudden departure, grows closer to his mentor, Admiral A.J. Chegwidden (played by John M. Jackson), who struggles with his own familial issues. Meanwhile, Mac confronts her feelings for Rabb while also dealing with her own complicated history.

As with previous seasons of JAG, the show continues to blend legal and military drama, offering a unique and thrilling perspective on life in the military. Legacy (1) sets the stage for a gripping season with twists and turns at every corner. Fans of the previous seasons will undoubtedly be thrilled to see their favorite characters back in action, while new viewers will be drawn in by the mix of action and heart.
