Jade Fever is a Canadian reality TV series that follows the Bunce family as they work to pull jade from the rugged mines of Northern British Columbia. In the show's sixth season, episode eight, titled "8", viewers join the Bunces as they head out on yet another jade mining adventure.

The episode begins with Robin and his son Justin heading out to one of their mining sites. They've received a tip that jade is abundant in the area, and they're eager to see if it's true. The father-son pair jumps on an ATV and heads out to investigate.

As they approach the site, Robin and Justin are pleased to see that there is, in fact, jade everywhere. They eagerly glove up and begin digging, both excited to see just how much jade they can pull from the ground.

Meanwhile, back at camp, Claudia, Josh, and Scrappy are drilling for core samples at a different mining site. They're hoping to find a new source of jade that they can exploit, and the core samples will give them a good idea of what's under the ground.

The drilling isn't going as smoothly as planned, and Claudia is getting frustrated. But just as she's getting ready to throw in the towel, the drill bit hits something hard. The team carefully extracts the core and washes it off, and they're overjoyed to find that they've hit a vein of jade.

Excited to see what's there, they head out to the site to start mining. But as they begin to dig, they realize that the jade they're pulling up is of a lower quality than they were hoping for. Claudia and Josh are disappointed, but they know they can still turn a profit from selling the jade, even if it's not the highest quality.

Back at the first site, Robin and Justin are still pulling up jade like there's no tomorrow. They're thrilled with the amount they've found, but as they start to cart it back to camp, they realize that they'll need to invest in some heavier machinery to be able to move the quantity they're finding. They make a plan to bring in a loader and a dozer to help with the heavy lifting.

With the dozer and loader in place, the Bunces get to work. They're moving massive amounts of earth each day, and the jade just keeps coming. As they work, they're constantly on the lookout for signs of valuable 'Big Boy' jade – a highly prized, rare jade that would bring in a huge payday.

While the mining is going well, Claudia and Josh are still struggling to find high-quality jade at their mining site. The couple has been arguing more than usual, and things come to a head when Claudia finds out that Josh has purchased a new ATV without consulting her.

The argument gets heated, and Scrappy is caught in the middle. He tries to play peacemaker between the parents, but it's clear that there is a lot of tension between the two. Eventually, they agree to disagree and get back to work – but there is palpable tension hovering over the mining site.

As the episode draws to a close, the Bunces are still working hard, hoping to strike it big with 'Big Boy' jade. But even if they don't find that particular type of jade, they know that they'll still have plenty of valuable jade to sell. They're a tight-knit family that works well together, and no matter what comes their way, they're always ready to take on the challenge.
