In Jade Fever season 1 episode 6, the team is still on the hunt for the elusive Big Blue boulder which is said to contain millions of dollars worth of jade. After weeks of hard work, Claudia and Robin Pick finally hit the jackpot when they discover a promising spot in a nearby creek bed.
Excited to start digging, they quickly realize that getting to the Big Blue boulder won't be an easy feat. The ground is solid rock and the terrain is treacherous. But Claudia is determined to get to the jade and devises a plan to blast through the rock. However, she soon finds out that the local regulations require a permit for any blasting operations.
Meanwhile, the crew at the mine is hard at work processing the jade they have already collected. However, things take a turn for the worse when one of the workers accidentally cuts himself while handling the heavy equipment. The injury is serious, and the team realizes they need a first aid kit, which they don't have on hand.
As the injured worker is rushed to the nearest hospital, Claudia and Robin scramble to get the necessary permits for their blasting operation. After a tense encounter with the local authorities, they finally get the green light to proceed.
Back at the mine, tensions run high as the team awaits news about their injured colleague. They get a scare when they hear that the hospital is low on blood and may not have enough for a transfusion. In an effort to help, Claudia offers to donate her own blood to ensure that the worker has the best chance of survival.
With the permits in hand, Claudia and Robin set off to blast through the rock and get to the Big Blue boulder. After a nerve-wracking operation, they finally break through to the jade and start processing it.
As the episode comes to a close, the team reflects on the dangers and risks associated with their line of work. But they are determined to keep searching for more jade and are hopeful that their hard work will pay off in the end.
