Ep 2. Jacob Two-Two's Time Trials

Jacob Two-Two is a Canadian animated television show that premiered on September 18, 2003, on YTV. The show is based on a series of books by Mordecai Richler. The story follows the life of a young boy named Jacob Two-Two, who always has to repeat himself to be heard. In season 2, episode 2, titled "Jacob Two-Two's Time Trials," Jacob is determined to break the school record in the annual cross-country race.

The episode begins with Jacob excitedly running towards his school, ready to participate in the annual cross-country race. After seeing his best friend Buford, the duo quickly make their way through the crowd and towards their teacher, Miss Sour Pickle. Miss Sour Pickle informs them that there is a new student named Indy-Tiffany and that they have to be kind to her. However, Jacob and Buford quickly realize that Indy-Tiffany is not like any other student.

Indy-Tiffany has an odd fascination with clocks and time travel. She carries a pocket watch with her everywhere and claims that she can time travel through the use of her watch. The kids are skeptical, but Indy-Tiffany insists that it's true. Jacob, being the adventurous and curious boy that he is, decides to investigate Indy-Tiffany's claims.

Later that day, Jacob and Buford find Indy-Tiffany tinkering with a strange device that looks like a wristwatch. They ask her about it, and she explains that it's a time-traveling wristwatch and that she's testing it out. Jacob is ecstatic at the idea of time travel and asks Indy-Tiffany if he can try it out. She agrees, and Jacob puts on the wristwatch.

Suddenly, Jacob finds himself in the midst of the cross-country race, but in a completely different time period. He quickly realizes that he has time-traveled to the future! Jacob looks around and finds that his future self has broken the school record and won the race, something he could not accomplish in his present time. This gives Jacob the inspiration to break the record himself and become the fastest cross-country runner in school history.

Jacob returns to the present time and immediately goes to Miss Sour Pickle to inquire about the school record. She informs him that the record has been held for years by a boy named Benny, but she encourages Jacob to try his best and break the record. Jacob, fueled by his experience in the future, sets his sights on the record and begins training for the upcoming race.

Meanwhile, Indy-Tiffany continues to tinker with her time-traveling wristwatch, but she becomes increasingly obsessed with the idea of changing history. She begins to manipulate time, causing disruptions in the fabric of time and space.

The day of the race arrives, and Jacob is determined to break the record. He and Buford line up at the starting line, along with the other students. Jacob's nemesis, Perfect Peter, is also present, determined to win the race and keep the record to himself.

The race begins, and Jacob quickly sets a fast pace, leaving Perfect Peter and the other runners behind. Jacob is determined to break the record and make his future self proud. As he approaches the finish line, Indy-Tiffany appears out of nowhere with her time-traveling wristwatch. She threatens to stop time and change the outcome of the race.

Jacob refuses to allow Indy-Tiffany to interfere and tells her that he just wants to break the record fair and square. Determined, Jacob sprints towards the finish line, breaking the school record by a few seconds. The crowd cheers as Jacob is declared the winner of the race, setting a new school record.

In the end, Jacob realizes that the future is not set in stone and that he can shape his own destiny. He thanks Indy-Tiffany for her assistance but cautions her about the dangers of time travel. Miss Sour Pickle congratulates Jacob on his victory and tells him that he has made history. The episode ends with Jacob smiling victoriously, having accomplished his goal.
