Inuyasha season 3 episode 63, titled "The Red and White Priestesses," revolves around the arrival of two new characters - Sango's younger brother, Kohaku, and the White-Haired Priestess, Sango's elder sister, who have been brainwashed by Naraku.
The episode begins with Naraku's plan to use Kohaku and Sango's elder sister to gather the remaining Shikon Jewel shards. Naraku begins by disposing of one of the powerful yokai that has been guarding one of the shards. This moves the story forward by creating an opportunity for Naraku's minions to capture Kohaku and the White-Haired Priestess.
Meanwhile, Inuyasha and his friends try to cope with the power of the new enemy. When they learn that Kohaku is involved, Sango is thrown into emotional turmoil. She is desperate to save her brother, but at the same time, she is afraid of what might have happened to him. In the end, the group of warriors decides to search for the captives and bring them back safely.
As they pursue their mission, they meet some other characters, who turn out to be the Red-Haired Priestess and her assistants. She tells them that they have been sent to help Inuyasha and his friends because Naraku has not only stolen the Shard from them, but also kidnapped the Red Priestess and her and assistants' comrades.
The group of warriors, now joined by the Red Priestess and her assistants, continue their search for Kohaku and the White-Haired Priestess. The group discovers that Naraku, so far, has been unsuccessful in brainwashing Kohaku and he is starting to resist Naraku's control.
The White-Haired Priestess, on the other hand, is still completely under Naraku's control. She uses her magical powers to fight against Inuyasha and his friends, making the battle much harder than expected. The Red Priestess and her assistants use their powers to counter the White Priestess's sorcery, creating an opportunity for Inuyasha and his comrades to attack.
The warriors use their own powers and skills to battle Naraku's minions and successfully save Kohaku. However, the White-Haired Priestess is nowhere to be found. Naraku has managed to take her away by using her to harness the power of the Shikon Jewel shard. Naraku then reveals his plan to re-create the Shikon Jewel, but this time, make it a part of his own body.
The episode ends on a cliffhanger with the Red Priestess and her assistants telling Inuyasha and his friends that they must defeat Naraku to stop him from gathering all of the Shikon Jewel shards. Inuyasha and his friends are determined to face Naraku again, despite the fact that he is now stronger than ever before.
"The Red and White Priestesses" is an action-packed episode that focuses on the characters' emotions as much as their fighting skills. The addition of the new characters - the Red-Haired Priestess and her assistants, as well as Sango's brother and elder sister - injects new energy and plot twists into the series. The episode also serves as a great setup for the upcoming battles against Naraku, bringing the threat of impending doom to the forefront of the story.
