Tsubaki's Unrelenting Evil Spell is the 62nd episode of season 3 of the anime series Inuyasha. The episode focuses on the main protagonists, Inuyasha and his gang, as they continue their journey in search of the Sacred Jewel shards.
The episode begins with Inuyasha and the others being welcomed by a group of villagers who are hosting a festival. The villagers ask the group to perform for them, and they agree. During the performance, Kagome spots a strange woman watching them from afar. The woman is later revealed to be Tsubaki, a priestess who once shared a connection with Kikyo, the priestess who sealed Inuyasha to a tree fifty years ago.
Tsubaki harbours a deep hatred towards Kikyo, and thus towards Inuyasha as well. She has been cursed by the demons of the netherworld, which has granted her powerful dark magic. She uses this magic to cast a spell on Kagome, causing her to fall ill with a mysterious fever. In an attempt to cure Kagome, Inuyasha and the others go to Tsubaki's temple.
However, they find themselves in a trap set up by Tsubaki. The group is separated, and each member is faced with a powerful illusion that plays on their greatest fears and desires. Inuyasha is plagued with the memory of his love for Kikyo, while Miroku is tempted with the idea of having an easy life without the constant danger of fighting demons.
Towards the end of the episode, Inuyasha is confronted by Tsubaki herself, who reveals her plan to kill Kikyo once and for all by using Kagome's body as a vessel. Inuyasha manages to defeat Tsubaki in a tense battle, and Kagome is cured of her fever.
Overall, Tsubaki's Unrelenting Evil Spell is an action-packed episode that adds depth to the overall plot of the series. Tsubaki's intense hatred towards Kikyo, and by extension Inuyasha, serves as a reminder of the complex relationships between characters in the show. Additionally, the episode's use of illusions to bring out the characters' innermost desires and fears provides a glimpse into their psyche.
