Kohaku, Sango's younger brother, has been struggling with his memories ever since he was resurrected by Naraku. In this episode, Kohaku wanders off on his own and is ambushed by a group of demons. During the attack, Kohaku falls and hits his head, causing him to lose all of his recent memories, including his connection to Sango.
Kagome, Inuyasha, and the gang come across Kohaku and try to help him regain his memories. They soon discover that a demon has been stealing Kohaku's memories and holding them captive in a mirror. The gang sets out to defeat the demon and retrieve Kohaku's memories.
Meanwhile, Sango is off on her own mission to destroy Naraku. She is unaware of her brother's memory loss and continues to carry the burden of his supposed betrayal. When she returns to the group, she is devastated to learn that Kohaku cannot remember her.
As they continue their journey, Kohaku slowly starts to regain his memories with the help of the gang. However, he discovers that he was not only manipulated by Naraku but also by a member of his own family. Kohaku is consumed with guilt and struggles to come to terms with his past actions.
In the end, the gang is successful in defeating the demon and retrieving Kohaku's memories. Kohaku reunites with Sango and the two express their love and forgiveness for one another. The episode ends with the gang continuing their journey, but with a deeper understanding of the complexities of family and the consequences of manipulation.
