Like Inuyasha's Season 2 episode 45, this episode is also titled "Juromaru and Kageromaru." The story picks up where the previous one left off, with Inuyasha, Kagome, and the others at the mercy of the massive stone golem. Kikyo has also arrived on the scene, but she's not inclined to help the Inuyasha gang. Instead, she's looking for Naraku, who's hiding nearby. Inuyasha asks Kikyo to help them defeat Juromaru and Kageromaru, but Kikyo refuses, telling Inuyasha that he should take care of his own problems.
As Inuyasha and Kagome battle the stone golem, a new enemy arises: Juromaru and Kageromaru, two of Naraku's most powerful creations. Juromaru is a hulking beast of a demon, while Kageromaru is a smaller, faster creature that can move with incredible speed. Inuyasha and the others soon learn that Juromaru and Kageromaru are looking for someone named Koga, the leader of a wolf demon tribe. Koga has fled to the nearby village for safety, but Juromaru and Kageromaru are hot on his trail.
Inuyasha and the others try to protect Koga and the villagers, but they soon find themselves overwhelmed by Juromaru and Kageromaru's power. As the battle rages on, Inuyasha begins to suspect that there's something special about Koga that Naraku wants. Meanwhile, Kikyo continues her search for Naraku, using her spiritual powers to track him down.
As the episode progresses, Inuyasha and the others begin to unravel the mystery of Juromaru and Kageromaru's power. They learn that the two demons are actually made from pieces of Naraku's own body, which gives them incredible strength and the ability to regenerate quickly. They also discover that Koga has something that Naraku wants: a shard of the sacred jewel. Naraku has sent Juromaru and Kageromaru after Koga to retrieve the shard.
The battle between Inuyasha and the others and Juromaru and Kageromaru reaches its climax when Naraku himself appears on the scene. Naraku is still hiding his true identity from Inuyasha, but he reveals himself to Kikyo and the others. Naraku takes control of Juromaru and Kageromaru, making them even more powerful than before. Inuyasha and the others are completely outmatched, and it seems like they have no hope of winning.
But just when things seem darkest, Koga appears on the scene. Koga has brought with him a special weapon, a giant boomerang that he calls the Goraishi. Using the Goraishi, Koga is able to cut off Juromaru and Kageromaru's limbs, weakening them considerably. Inuyasha and the others are then able to finish off the two demons.
The episode ends with Inuyasha and the others regrouping and trying to come up with a new plan to defeat Naraku once and for all. Kikyo has disappeared, but Inuyasha suspects that she's still searching for Naraku. As always, the fate of the world hangs in the balance as the battle between good and evil continues.
