Tetsusaiga Breaks is the 43rd episode of the second season of the anime series Inuyasha. The episode starts with Inuyasha, Kagome, Shippo, Miroku, and Sango on a mission to retrieve the last Shikon jewel shard from a fire demon. Inuyasha is equipped with Tetsusaiga, his powerful sword, which is capable of defeating even the strongest demons. However, during the battle, Tetsusaiga unexpectedly breaks into two pieces.
Inuyasha is devastated by the loss of Tetsusaiga, which he inherited from his father and is his most prized possession. He is also worried about how he will protect Kagome and his friends without the sword. Kagome tries to encourage him and says that they will find a way to fix Tetsusaiga.
Meanwhile, the demon Goshinki appears and attacks the group. Inuyasha tries to fight him off using his broken sword, but he is no match for the powerful demon. Goshinki is actually one of Naraku's incarnations and is seeking the Shikon jewel shard as well.
After the battle, the group seeks refuge in a nearby village. Sango tells them about a legendary blacksmith named Totosai who can repair Tetsusaiga. Inuyasha decides to seek out Totosai, but he is warned that the journey will be dangerous.
Inuyasha and Kagome set off on their journey, leaving Miroku, Sango, and Shippo behind to protect the village. On their way, they encounter a group of bandits who try to steal Kagome's Shikon jewel shards. Inuyasha saves her, but in the process, he is badly injured.
They eventually reach Totosai's forge, and Inuyasha presents him with his broken sword. Totosai examines the sword and says that he can repair it, but it will take some time. He advises Inuyasha to spend some time practicing with his broken sword to improve his skills.
Inuyasha spends the next few days training with his broken sword, determined to become stronger. He also reflects on how much Tetsusaiga means to him and how it has helped him protect his friends. Kagome encourages him and tells him that she believes in him.
Finally, Totosai is ready to present Inuyasha with his repaired sword. The new Tetsusaiga has a new power, able to shoot a massive beam of energy at his enemies. Inuyasha tests his new sword, and the group sets off to find Naraku and the remaining shards of the Shikon jewel.
Tetsusaiga Breaks is a pivotal episode in the series, as it marks the moment when Inuyasha must face the loss of his most valuable possession. The episode also shows the strength of Inuyasha's character as he learns to adapt to new challenges and become a better fighter without his sword. The introduction of Totosai and the new version of Tetsusaiga also add new dimensions to the story and give the characters new tools to face the dangers ahead. Overall, it is a thrilling and emotional episode that fans of the series will not want to miss.
