Ep 42. The Wind Scar Fails

Inuyasha season 2 episode 42, titled "The Wind Scar Fails," follows the main character Inuyasha and his allies as they face off against the powerful demon Naraku. The Tessaiga, which has been passed down from Inuyasha's father, possesses incredible power and can transform its shape depending on the demon it is fighting, as such, Inuyasha will have to learn to handle the Tessaiga's powers and make it respond to Naraku's barrier.

Meanwhile, Sango, Miroku, and Shippo arrive at the village and are met by the priestess Kaede. She reveals a secret about Naraku's barrier and gives the group a modification for Miroku's staff, which will allow him to break through the barrier once they find Naraku's barrier.

The two groups eventually reunite, and Inuyasha reveals that he now has a new technique that he can use with his Tessaiga sword. This new technique, called the Backlash Wave, creates a powerful force that can break through Naraku's barrier. Now armed with the new weapon, the group set out to finally defeat Naraku once and for all.

However, things don't go as planned, and Naraku gives Inuyasha and his companions a difficult time once again. The group becomes separated, and Inuyasha ends up in a life-or-death situation where he has to resort to using his primitive instincts to survive.

The episode ends on a cliffhanger, leaving the viewers wondering if Inuyasha will survive the latest battle and if he will be able to defeat Naraku, as well as discover the true nature of the Tessaiga sword.
