Ep 12. Shane

Shane has always struggled with anxiety and depression, but after a car accident left him with a traumatic brain injury, his mental health issues only worsened. He turned to prescription drugs to cope with his constant pain and anxiety, but soon found himself addicted to painkillers and benzodiazepines.

Despite his addiction, Shane was still able to maintain a successful career in real estate and a loving relationship with his girlfriend, Kristina. However, his drug use soon began to spiral out of control. He began using heroin and crack cocaine, and his behavior became increasingly erratic and dangerous.

Kristina reached out to the Intervention team for help, as she feared Shane would soon lose everything he had worked so hard for. The team staged an intervention in an effort to get him the help he so desperately needed.

Shane initially denied having a problem, but eventually agreed to go to treatment. He struggled with physical withdrawals and the emotional pain of facing his addiction, but with the help of his family and the treatment center staff, he was able to begin the long process of recovery.
