Ep 2. Episode 2
In Interior Design Masters season 1 episode 2, the remaining nine designers are tasked with transforming two show homes for the Edenbrook development in Surrey. The first show home is a three-bedroom townhouse and the second is a two-bedroom apartment, both with a contemporary style.
Each designer is assigned to a specific room in one of the show homes, and they have a budget of £1,500 to work with. The designers must work within the themes provided by the developer, which are 'Botanical' for the townhouse and 'Industrial Luxe' for the apartment.
The designers face a tight deadline of just two days to complete their designs. To add to the pressure, they are also given a twist - they must incorporate a specific object provided by the judges into their designs. These objects include a vintage film camera, a marble sculpture of a hand, and a pair of silver antlers.
As the designers get to work, tensions rise between some of the contestants. One designer struggles with their design plan and receives criticism from the judges for their lack of creativity. Another designer gets overly ambitious with their project and must scale back their ideas due to time and budget constraints.
The judges, Michelle Ogundehin and Matthew Williamson, make their rounds to each designer's space to offer feedback and guidance. They provide constructive criticism and encourage the designers to trust their instincts and push the boundaries of their designs.
As the deadline approaches, the designers work frantically to finish their rooms. Some designers surprise the judges with their innovative designs, while others fall short of expectations.
In the end, the judges must decide which designer will be sent home based on their overall performance in the challenge. The remaining designers move on to the next challenge, hoping to prove themselves as the Interior Design Masters.
