In Instant Hotel season 1 episode 7, the competition heats up as the remaining four teams head to regional Victoria. They are welcomed to the quaint town of Woodend where they will be testing out each other's cozy and charming Airbnbs.
The first stop is at Gene and Sharon's property which is famous for its luxurious stables. With a night of horse riding under their belts, the competitors are then led to Diane and Terry's homestead. It is a stunning 10-acre property that is the epitome of country style.
The third destination is at Jay and Leah's place which is located in the heart of the picturesque Macedon Ranges. Their property boasts stunning views and a massive outdoor spa. Finally, the teams will get to experience Mark and Janetta's rustic barn-style home which is a cozy retreat in the midst of the lush forest.
With such beautiful properties and picturesque surroundings, the competitors have their work cut out for them when it comes to their scoring. They must use all their know-how and experience to rank each location impartially.
As the teams arrive at their first location, they are left completely in awe of the stable setup and the luxurious atmosphere of Gene and Sharon's property. The duo offers their guests a horse-riding activity and a host of other fun things to do. The competitors take a keen interest in exploring the property's expansive grounds.
Next up is Diane and Terry's serene countryside vacation spot. The couple have turned their property into an eco-friendly haven, with beautiful gardens and sustainable practices. From a composting toilet to a waterless urinal, the duo's eco-friendly efforts have really impressed the contestants.
The competitors then head to Jay and Leah's place which offers breathtaking scenic views and an incredibly relaxing ambiance. The couple's property is beautifully designed, with amazing attention to detail and aesthetic features. The property has a massive spa pool nestled amongst the gardens, which the contestants thoroughly enjoy.
Finally, it is time for Mark and Janetta to show off their rustic and cozy property, which offers a completely different experience to the other contestants' homesteads. The guesthouse is located deep in the forest and has comfortable furnishings that reflect the natural beauty of the surroundings. The duo's homestead offers a real sense of seclusion and privacy, far from the hustle and bustle of the city.
The judges rate each of the places based on five essential categories, which are location, house, practicality, comfort, and value for money. The competitors take their task seriously, as they must provide actionable feedback and use their knowledge of the hospitality industry to give proper feedback. The judges also have the opportunity to try out local activities such as visiting local spas, horse riding, hiking, and sampling the local food.
The contestants are constantly comparing notes, and discussing each other's places throughout the episode. They have developed close relationships throughout the show's previous episodes, which makes it challenging to be both impartial and critical. But, some teams must come out on top, and some will miss the mark entirely.
Overall, episode 7 of Instant Hotel is a great display of amazing properties and breathtaking scenery. The competitors are put to the test in terms of their impartiality and their knowledge of the hospitality industry. They must compare notes and carefully consider each property's individual merits. The episode displays the perfect blend of drama, competition, and fun.
