Meanwhile, a Japanese woman named Yoon Ok Ryun arrives in town and is immediately targeted by Takeda and his gang. Ok Ryun is the sister of Kim Ok Ryun, Jung Tae's friend, and she seeks his help. Jung Tae agrees to protect her and they fall in love.
As tensions between the Koreans and Japanese escalate, Jung Tae is pulled into the world of organized crime. He is approached by a powerful gang leader, Mo Il Hwa, who recognizes Jung Tae's potential and offers him a position in her gang.
Jung Tae initially refuses, but his circumstances and his desire for revenge against Junta and Takeda lead him to accept the offer. He quickly rises through the ranks of the gang and becomes one of Il Hwa's most trusted men.
The episode ends with Jung Tae confronting Junta and Takeda and exacting his revenge. But as he revels in his victory, he realizes that he has become someone he never wanted to be.
