Ink Master: Grudge Match is a tattoo competition show where former Ink Master contestants who have unfinished business come back to compete against each other and settle their grudges. In season 1 episode 6, titled "Quitters And Outfitters," the remaining six artists are tasked with creating a tattoo that represents their biggest regret.
Host Dave Navarro welcomes the artists and introduces them to their canvases, who reveal their stories of regret. The artists then have six hours to design and tattoo their pieces, with the added challenge of having to tattoo on an uncomfortable part of their canvas' body.
As the artists work on their designs, tensions start to rise in the studio. Old grudges resurface, and some of the artists struggle to keep their focus on the challenge at hand. Veteran Ink Master judge Chris Núñez stops by to check on the artists' progress and offer some guidance.
Once the six hours are up, the judges—Chris Núñez, Oliver Peck, and Ink Master alum Megan Jean Morris—critique the tattoos. They praise some artists for their creativity and technical skills while criticizing others for not fully embracing the challenge.
The judges then reveal the top and bottom tattoos, and the artists who created them have to face off in a head-to-head elimination challenge. The artists must use their technical skills to tattoo a challenging design on a pig's foot.
The stakes are high, and the artists know that one poorly executed tattoo could send them home. The judges scrutinize every line and detail of the tattoos, and ultimately one artist is sent home while the other moves on to the next round.
As the episode comes to a close, the remaining artists reflect on the challenges they've faced in the competition so far. They know that the grudges between them are still simmering, and they're prepared to fight hard for the title of Ink Master: Grudge Match champion.
