Ep 3. Act. 3 Downhill Specialist Arrives

In this episode of Initial D, we are introduced to a new character named Takeshi Nakazato who is known as the "White Ghost of Akina." He is a skilled downhill racer who has dominated the mountain passes in the Gunma Prefecture for years.

The episode starts with Takumi and Itsuki driving up to the peak of Akina Mountain to get some practice in before the upcoming race against the Red Suns. While they are driving, they run into Nakazato who challenges Takumi to a race. Takumi declines at first but after some encouragement from Itsuki, he decides to accept the challenge.

Once the race begins, Nakazato quickly pulls ahead of Takumi and seems to be unbeatable on the mountain. Takumi is struggling to keep up and is forced to use some risky tactics to try and catch up to Nakazato. Eventually, he is able to pass Nakazato and take the lead.

However, things take a turn when they approach a tight hairpin turn, and Takumi realizes that he has never taken it at full speed before. Nakazato uses this opportunity to overtake Takumi and win the race.

After the race, Takumi is dejected and worried about the upcoming race against the Red Suns. Nakazato takes notice of this and offers to help him improve his downhill skills. Takumi is hesitant at first but ultimately decides to accept Nakazato's offer.

We then see Nakazato teaching Takumi various techniques to improve his downhill racing. The two become close friends and Nakazato even invites Takumi to join his racing team, the Night Kids.

As the episode comes to a close, we see Takumi putting his newfound skills to the test as he competes in a race against one of the Night Kids' top drivers.

Overall, this episode introduces us to an exciting new character and sets up an interesting dynamic between him and Takumi. It also showcases Takumi's dedication to improving his skills and his willingness to accept help from others.
