In the sixth episode of Industry season 1, titled "Nutcracker," Harper (played by Myha'la Herrold) is trying to manage her complex relationship with her romantic partner Robert (played by Harry Lawtey), who is now her supervisor at work. Together, they are assigned a major deal that could make or break their careers at Pierpoint & Co. As they work on the deal, the tension between them is palpable, and their personal issues begin to seep into their professional life. At the same time, Yasmin (played by Marisa Abela) is struggling with her own issues at work as her boss, Eric (played by Ken Leung), gives her more responsibility and tries to groom her for upper management. However, Yasmin begins to feel that her ideas are not being heard and that Eric is underestimating her capabilities due to her gender and race. She confides in Daria (played by Freya Mavor) about her concerns, and they begin to form a plan to make sure Yasmin's ideas are recognized. Meanwhile, Gus (played by David Jonsson) is dealing with the aftermath of his drunken escapades with Hari (played by Nabhaan Rizwan) and their potential impact on his career. He tries to justify his behavior to his boss, but it quickly becomes apparent that the incident could have serious consequences for him.
