The episode starts with the Raimon Eleven soccer team facing off against the Diamond Dust team in a practice match. In the middle of the game, the Raimon Eleven coach, Mr. Kudou, receives a sudden phone call and has to leave the field. The team is left without their coach and they are unsure of what to do next. Suddenly, a new coach appears and offers to help the team. His name is Seymour Hillman and he seems friendly enough, but he has a dark past that starts to reveal itself as the episode progresses.
As the team practices under Hillman's guidance, they start to notice that his coaching methods are unusual and quite intense. Hillman pushes the team harder than they have ever been pushed before, and some of the players start to feel the strain. He tells them that winning is everything and that they need to be willing to do whatever it takes to win. Some of the players start to become concerned about Hillman's methods, but the captain, Endou, tells them that they need to trust him and that he knows what he's doing.
As the team continues to practice, they start to notice that Hillman seems to have some sort of dark power. When he gets angry, the skies turn dark and lightning flashes in the background. The team knows that something isn't right, but they don't know what to do. Meanwhile, a strange illness begins to afflict some of the players. They start to feel weak and tired and they can't seem to shake the feeling that something is wrong.
When one of the players collapses during a practice, Endou realizes that something is seriously wrong and confronts Hillman about it. Hillman tells Endou the truth about his past - he had once been a great soccer coach, but he had become cursed after losing a crucial match. Ever since then, he has been plagued by bad luck and he believes that he can only break the curse by winning the national championship. Hillman admits that he has been pushing the players too hard and that he has been using his cursed power to try and make them better.
Endou and the team are shocked but they decide to help Hillman break the curse by winning the championship. They work together to come up with a new training regimen that is more balanced and less intense, and they start to see results. Hillman begins to trust the team more and more, and he starts using his power for good instead of evil.
As the episode comes to a close, the team prepares for their next practice match. They are confident that they can win, but they know that they still have a long way to go before they can break the curse and win the championship. They are determined to do whatever it takes to win, but they are also aware that they need to be careful not to push themselves too hard. The episode ends with the team walking out onto the field, ready to face whatever challenges lie ahead.
