Four lifelong friends, Q, Sal, Joe, and Murr, decided to take their hilarious pranks to the streets in the hidden-camera series Impractical Jokers. In season 1 episode 6, titled "Panty Raid", the guys embarked on a new challenge, testing their friendship in outrageous situations.
The episode started with the guys walking down a small alley, looking for their next victim. In this challenge, the jokers took turns wearing a blacked out rogue headset, with the other guys directing them on their prank from a van -- a first for the show. Their objectives included things like collecting money from strangers, convincing people they were escapees from prison, and even getting to second base with a beautiful woman. The first challenge of the day involved Sal and Q, and it was an especially absurd one.
The first task was for Q to put on a disguise created by the other Jokers, wear a robe with bunny ears, and sneak into a women's department store. His mission was to collect as many bras as possible and give them to Sal, who was waiting outside. The catch is that Q has to stuff the bras in the pockets of his robe, and every time he runs into someone in the store, he has to act as if he's in a hurry to catch his Easter Bunny shift. Q fumbled around the store, collecting bras left and right. His furtive actions were so comical, one customer couldn't contain her laughter.
The guys paired up again for the next challenge. This time around, Murr and Joe had to run around a public park, as Goofus and Gallant characters, respectively. Murr had to be the bad guy, littering, and being rude to strangers, while Joe had to demo kindness, picking up the litter, and apologizing for Murr's antics. The contrasts between Joe and Murr's performances were phenomenally funny. Murr's lines such as, "Pick it up yourself", and "I'm too famous for this," fell flat on their faces, while Joe had strangers nodding along in agreement with his apologies to everyone.
In the third challenge, the jokers decided to test out their acting skills. Sal plays a delusional magician, while Murr plays his trusting assistant. The guys had to take it in turns with playing from the earpiece and directing the prank. As Sal tried out different magic tricks, including making a woman's wallet disappear, Murr had to build out a proper backstory. The results were hilarious, as Sal and Murr spun a yarn about life on the mega-star-rich magician circuit. The customers were befuddled, but the jokers kept up the charade, never cracking, even as things returned to a more mundane pace.
Next up, the jokers embarked on a race to embarrass each other. The winners would get to watch as the losers had to raid the lost and found box in Central Park, wearing whatever skimpy underwear they could find. In the end, the stunt proved a draw, and all the guys were lined up with their collective weight in female panties.
The episode wrapped up with the four friends standing on stage, as the losers performed their punishment, wearing the women's underwear over their clothes. The guys had to keep up a public service announcement while doing their best not to think about the embarrassing legs peeking out beneath their sagging skivvies. The inevitable happened as passers-by couldn't stop laughing, and the jokers couldn't stop making one another squirm.
Overall, Season 1 Episode 6 of "Impractical Jokers" provided an extremely funny and entertaining experience to viewers. The challenges were well thought out, and the pranks were perfectly executed. Fans of the show will surely not be disappointed by this one!
