Determined to start fresh and move on from her pain, she decides to leave her hometown in China and go to Paris to study and work. Accompanied by her childhood friend and confidant Xiao Xi, who is also studying in Paris, she embarks on a new journey of self-discovery.
As Ye Fan settles into her new Parisian life, she struggles to adjust to the culture shock and the language barrier. However, she quickly finds solace in her new job at a Chinese restaurant owned by Chef Louis, a friendly man who becomes a mentor to her in both work and life. Ye Fan also begins to build a new social circle of friends, including the lively and confident Vicky, who works in the fashion industry.
Despite her efforts to move on, Ye Fan's heart is still broken and haunted by memories of her ex-boyfriend. One day, she crosses paths with a mysterious and handsome Frenchman named Pierre. As they frequently encounter each other in the city, Ye Fan begins to feel a pull towards Pierre, despite initially wanting to keep her distance from any potential romantic entanglements.
On another front, Ye Fan's friend Xiao Xi is facing her own struggles with homesickness and loneliness. As a result, she reconnects with her ex-boyfriend, also a Chinese student in Paris, who she had broken up with due to parental pressure. Xiao Xi finds herself drawn to him again, but faces resistance due to his engagement to another woman.
As the episode progresses, Ye Fan's friendship with Pierre deepens, but it remains unclear whether their connection will remain platonic or become something more. Meanwhile, Xiao Xi must navigate the complexities of her rekindled relationship amidst her conflicting feelings.
