Ep 3. iBeat the Heat
- June 26, 2010
Carly, Sam, and Freddie are doing their web show when they find out that Seattle is experiencing a terrible heat wave. They decide to take their show on the road and head to Los Angeles to escape the heat. Along the way, they encounter various difficulties, including a broken-down car and a run-in with a group of surly bikers.
When they finally arrive in LA, they find that it's just as hot there as it is in Seattle. They decide to visit a water park to cool off, but the line is too long. Carly comes up with a plan to buy all the tickets for the next day in order to skip the line, but they soon find out that the park is closing for repairs the next day.
Undeterred, Carly suggests they visit a nearby amusement park instead. They find out that the park's mascot, the Whoopee Cushion, is missing and the park is offering a prize to anyone who can find it. Carly decides to search for it, even though it means missing out on the rides.
While searching for the Whoopee Cushion, Carly runs into a boy named Griffin who is also looking for it. They decide to join forces and look for it together. They have a series of misadventures along the way, including getting stuck in a rollercoaster and ending up in the park's haunted house.
Eventually, they find the Whoopee Cushion and return it to the park officials. Carly and Griffin share a moment, but it's interrupted by Sam and Freddie, who have finally managed to get on the rides. Carly realizes that she's having more fun with Griffin than she would have on the rides, and they say goodbye.
As they are leaving, they run into the biker gang they encountered earlier, who stole their car and have been using it to go joyriding. Carly, Sam, and Freddie manage to get their car back, but it's badly damaged. They decide to drive back to Seattle anyway, and the episode ends with them singing a silly song to pass the time.
