Ep 5. iCupid

Carly, Sam, and Freddie want to start a dating service on their show, iCarly to match people based on their compatibility. However, things go awry when Sam decides to intervene by making potentially disastrous matches based on her own twisted sense of humor.

Meanwhile, Carly is set up on a date with a boy named Shane who turns out to be a bit of a dud. Despite this, she tries to give him another chance only to be let down once again. Just as things seem to be going nowhere, Shane reveals that he is an excellent chef and makes Carly a delicious meal. Carly becomes smitten with him, but begins to question her feelings when her friends tell her they believe he is using her for her internet fame.

Freddie is also set up with a girl named Talia, but things quickly fall apart when she reveals that she is only using him to make her ex-boyfriend jealous. Freddie is hurt by this revelation and decides to end things with Talia.

As the iCarly team tries to sort out their own love lives, their dating service comes under fire when Sam's twisted matches begin to have very real consequences. The team must quickly come up with a solution before anyone is hurt.

Throughout all of this, Carly begins to realize that she has feelings for Freddie, but is hesitant to act on them due to their friendship and the potential fallout it could cause. Will she take the risk and tell Freddie how she feels, or will they both remain stuck in the friend zone forever?

As the episode draws to a close, the iCarly team comes up with a new and improved dating service that matches people based on their genuine interests and personalities. And while Carly and Freddie may not have found love with anyone else, they both realize that they have everything they need in each other.
