Ep 4. iGot Your Back

Carly Shay is the protagonist of the show iCarly, which follows her and her friends as they create an internet show called iCarly. In season 1 episode 4 titled iGot Your Back, Carly's best friend Sam has trouble with her bike, and Carly and Freddie offer to help her fix it. However, Sam is hesitant to let anyone help her and would rather fix it herself. She becomes defensive when Carly and Freddie suggest ideas for fixing the bike, causing tension among the friends.

Meanwhile, Spencer, Carly's older brother, is building a sculpture out of berries for an art gallery that he hopes will sell for a lot of money. He offers to clean it up and ends up getting a job as the gallery's janitor.

Back at Carly's apartment, Sam accidentally breaks Carly's grandmother's antique clock when she tries to fix it herself. She attempts to glue it back together but makes the situation worse. Carly becomes upset and tells Sam she needs to learn when to ask for help. The girls have a heart-to-heart conversation about the importance of trusting and relying on friends. They make amends, and by the end of the episode, the clock is fixed thanks to the help of all three friends.

In the subplot, Freddie has developed a crush on Carly and awkwardly attempts to show his affection throughout the episode. He is embarrassed when he accidentally admits his feelings to Carly but is relieved when she takes it as a joke.
