Ep 4. Midsi / Tammy / Leona
- July 29, 2012
Midsi, Tammy, and Leona are the subjects of this episode of I Survived season 9. Each one of these women found themselves in a desperate and life-threatening situation, but despite the odds stacked against them, they survived and lived to tell their incredible stories.
Midsi's ordeal began when she was just 8 years old. She was walking to a convenience store one night with her friend, when they were approached by a man who claimed to be lost and asked for directions. But the man was lying and he grabbed Midsi and dragged her into his car. For the next two days, he held her captive and subjected her to unimaginable horrors. But through sheer determination, Midsi managed to escape and was able to lead the police to her kidnapper.
Tammy's story is one of survival in the face of a natural disaster. She was living in New Orleans when Hurricane Katrina struck, and she and her family were forced to evacuate their home. But as they were driving out of the city, they were caught in the floodwaters and their car was swept away. Tammy was separated from her family and was left clinging to a tree for hours, surrounded by rising water and debris. But eventually she was rescued by a group of strangers, and she was eventually reunited with her family.
Leona's experience was equally harrowing, but it played out on the open road. She and her husband were driving to visit family when they were ambushed by a group of men who forced them off the road. The men robbed them and then drove off, leaving Leona and her husband stranded in the middle of nowhere with no food, water, or shelter. But Leona refused to give up, and despite the scorching heat and the dangers that lurked in the desert, she managed to keep her husband alive until they were eventually rescued.
Throughout each of these stories, the women display incredible resilience and strength, as they fight to survive against all odds. And while their experiences are vastly different, they all share a common thread: the unshakeable will to live. It is a testament to the incredible spirit of the human soul, and a reminder that even in the darkest of times, there is always hope.
