Ep 1. Amanda, Erinn

In the season 8 premiere of I Survived..., viewers are introduced to two women who share harrowing stories of survival in the face of unimaginable danger. Amanda's story begins when she and her boyfriend set out on a weekend camping trip in the wilderness of Wyoming. After setting up camp, they decided to take a hike and explore the surrounding area. However, their peaceful excursion quickly turned into a nightmare when they encountered a grizzly bear. Despite their best efforts to evade the animal, it attacked Amanda and her boyfriend, leaving them both severely injured. Alone in the wilderness with no phone service and limited supplies, Amanda was forced to fight for survival against all odds.

Erinn's story is equally as intense. One day, while working at a remote gas station in Oklahoma, Erinn was taken hostage by a man attempting to rob the store. With a gun pointed at her head, Erinn was forced into the back of her own car and driven to a secluded area. Over the course of five brutal hours, the perpetrator subjected Erinn to a series of horrific assaults and threatened to kill her multiple times. Somehow, Erinn found the strength to stay alive and ultimately escaped her captor's grasp.

Both Amanda and Erinn's stories highlight the incredible willpower and determination that can be summoned in the face of extreme adversity. Through their experiences, viewers gain a newfound appreciation for life and gratitude for the small moments that make it so precious. I Survived... season 8 is a powerful reminder that even in the darkest of times, hope and resilience can prevail.
