Ep 2. Tere / Christa / Brian

Tere, Christa, and Brian each must confront death in this episode of I Survived season 6. Tere, a 28-year-old woman, is attacked by a man while walking home from work in San Francisco. He stabs her in the stomach and throws her body into the bay. Despite the odds, Tere survives and is able to swim to shore, where she is found by a passerby. Though she is able to identify her attacker, Tere must navigate the legal system and face her fears to move forward.

Christa, a 38-year-old mother of two, is home when her house catches on fire. The flames spread quickly, and Christa is trapped on the second floor. With no way out, she jumps from the window, suffering severe burns and injuries upon landing. Though she is taken to the hospital, Christa must fight to recover from both her physical and emotional wounds, including the loss of her home and all of her possessions.

Finally, Brian, a 22-year-old college student, is struck by lightning while hiking with friends in Oregon. The bolt of electricity causes his heart to stop, but his friends are able to revive him with CPR. Despite surviving the immediate strike, Brian's injuries are extensive. He must undergo multiple surgeries and extensive rehabilitation to regain his mobility and function, as well as come to terms with his brush with death.

Throughout the episode, each survivor tells their story in their own words, recounting the moments leading up to their brushes with death and the long road to recovery. Each must confront not only physical injuries, but also the emotional trauma that comes with surviving a horrific event. Despite the challenges they face, Tere, Christa, and Brian prove to be strong and resilient, inspiring viewers with their courage and determination to move forward.
