Ep 2. Susan, John & Jean, Penny

In season 5 episode 2 of I Survived..., viewers are introduced to four incredibly strong individuals who were able to overcome harrowing life-threatening situations. The episode features the powerful stories of Susan, John & Jean, and Penny.

Susan's story recounts the moment when she was kidnapped in broad daylight while working. As the abductor drove her away, Susan quickly realized that she was in a fight for her life. The kidnapper, who was clearly unstable, held Susan at gunpoint and threatened to kill her at any moment. Susan was bound and gagged and couldn't do much to fight back except to hope and pray for a miracle. After hours of driving, Susan became increasingly panicked as she feared that she would never see her loved ones again. However, something unexpected happened, and a moment of distraction enabled Susan to escape from the car and seek help.

Next up is John & Jean, a married couple who survived a horrific plane crash that killed everyone else on board. John, who was an experienced pilot, was flying a small plane with his wife Jean as a passenger. Shortly after takeoff, the plane's engine malfunctioned, and John knew that they were in serious trouble. Trying his best, John attempted an emergency landing; however, the plane crashed into a cornfield, and they were severely injured. John was able to crawl out of the wreckage and flagged down a passing car for help, but Jean was pinned in the airplane, and it was up to the emergency services to come to her rescue. Despite her injuries, Jean remained strong, and when she finally woke up in the hospital after her surgery, she was just grateful to be alive.

Finally, the episode tells the story of Penny, who was left for dead after being brutally attacked and stabbed by an intruder in her own home. Penny, who was house-sitting for a friend, had no idea that danger was lurking and she would face one of the most harrowing experiences of her life. The attacker, who was masked, cornered Penny in the bathroom, and she had to fight with everything she had to survive. Penny was stabbed multiple times and had to pretend to be dead to get her attacker to flee the scene. She later managed to call for help and miraculously survived the attack.

Overall, this episode of I Survived... showcases the resilience and strength of the human spirit in the face of extreme danger and adversity. These four individuals' stories are awe-inspiring, and their courage will leave you amazed. Each fight for survival was unique, and each person's journey is a testament to the power of hope and perseverance.
