Ep 14. First Stop

Lucy and Ricky Ricardo embark on a cross-country road trip in this episode of I Love Lucy, titled "First Stop." The couple plans to travel to Hollywood, where Ricky is set to work on his latest film project, but they decide to take their time getting there and enjoy the sights along the way.

After the dance, the couple heads back to their hotel where they discover that the Jenkins have accidentally taken their car keys instead of their own. The only option is for Lucy and Ricky to take the Jenkins' old jalopy, which turns out to be a rickety and unreliable vehicle that breaks down several times.

During their journey in the jalopy, Lucy and Ricky encounter a variety of strange and interesting characters, including a group of hobos who hitch a ride with them and a wealthy man who offers them a ride in his luxury car. The couple eventually reaches Hollywood, though they arrive in a much more unconventional and unpredictable manner than they had planned.

Throughout the episode, there are plenty of comedic moments, such as Lucy's radio announcing, the square dance mishap, and the jalopy breaking down. However, there are also heartwarming moments, such as when Lucy and Ricky bond with the Jenkins and the other travelers they meet along the way.
