Lucy and Ricky have gotten a gig performing at a benefit show, but they are worried that their performance won't be up to par. They decide to enlist the help of a famous ballet dancer, Enrico Marco, to teach them an adagio dance routine.
Enrico arrives at the Ricardo's apartment and immediately starts to critique their every move, much to Lucy's dismay. She is convinced that Enrico hates her and will never be able to teach her anything. However, Ricky is determined to learn the routine and impress their audience.
As Enrico begins to teach them, Lucy struggles with the dance steps and constantly falls behind. She is frustrated with herself and becomes overbearing on Enrico. At one point, she even breaks down in tears and threatens to quit the whole performance.
Despite Lucy's breakdown, Ricky and Enrico continue to practice and improve their routine. As the day of the performance approaches, Lucy becomes even more anxious, but Ricky is confident that they will succeed.
On the day of the benefit show, the Ricardo's arrive in their full dance costumes and are ready to perform their adagio routine. However, just as they start, Lucy trips and causes both her and Ricky to fall. The audience gasps in horror, but to their surprise, Lucy and Ricky get right back up and continue with their performance.
As they finish the routine, the audience erupts into thunderous applause, and even Enrico is moved by their performance. Lucy and Ricky are thrilled that they were able to pull off the routine despite the mishap.
In the end, Enrico tells them that they have done a great job, and Lucy is ecstatic that he finally approves of her. The episode ends with the group celebrating their success and dreaming of future performances.
