I Know Who You Are is a gripping, Spanish-language psychological thriller from Arrow Films that first aired in 2017. Set in Barcelona, it centers around the disappearance of prominent lawyer Juan Elías (Francesc Garrido), who wakes up in a car accident with no memory of what happened during the previous two months. As he tries to piece together his past, he becomes the prime suspect in his niece's disappearance and in his wife's murder, whom he can't even remember he was married to.

One of the standout aspects of I Know Who You Are is the power of the performances from its core cast. Francesc Garrido, in particular, is excellent as the lead character, Juan. He ably portrays the confusion and terror of someone who suddenly finds themselves at the center of a criminal investigation while struggling to recall even the most basic details of their life. Blanca Portillo, who plays Juan's sister-in-law, also delivers a standout performance as a woman who fearlessly chases the truth and is deeply committed to her family, even when it seems as though they may have committed terrible crimes.

What's interesting about I Know Who You Are is that, while it is a thriller, it is also a character study that at times feels more like a drama. The show delves into the complex and fraught relationships that exist within Juan's family, and the many secrets and betrayals that ultimately lead to his current predicament. It is a masterclass in tension-building as Juan tries desperately to remember what has happened to him, while the investigation and the forces behind it close in on him.

At its core, I Know Who You Are is a show about identity and memory. It explores the idea that at any moment, our identity can be stripped away from us, and we can be left completely adrift without even knowing who we are. It's a terrifying prospect, and the show does an excellent job of conveying this sense of fear and disorientation.

Over the course of its run, I Know Who You Are throws multiple curveballs at its viewers, with twists and turns that will keep you on the edge of your seat until the very end. The show is unafraid to delve into dark territory, and it certainly will not be to everyone's taste. However, if you are a fan of thrillers with complex characters, sharp writing, and a generous helping of suspense, then I Know Who You Are is definitely worth your time.

Overall, I Know Who You Are is a must-watch for anyone who enjoys a good psychological thriller. It's a show that will keep you guessing until the very end, and it is all held together by some powerful performances and excellent writing. It may not be the most lighthearted viewing experience, but it is an incredibly rewarding one for those who can handle it.
