I am Weasel is a classic cartoon show that aired on Cartoon Network from 1997 to 1999. The show follows the adventures of a highly intelligent and cultured weasel named I.M. Weasel and his not-so-intelligent counterpart, a baboon named I.R. Baboon. The two characters were originally introduced as part of a segment on the animated series Cow and Chicken, but they quickly became fan favorites and earned their own spin-off show.

The premise of the show is that I.M. Weasel is an incredibly talented and accomplished being who is adored by everyone he meets. He is a master of every skill imaginable, from art to science to music, and he always manages to come out on top no matter what situation he finds himself in. I.R. Baboon, on the other hand, is a bumbling, dim-witted oaf who is constantly getting into trouble and causing chaos.

Despite their wildly different personalities and levels of intelligence, I.M. Weasel and I.R. Baboon are best friends and roommates. They live together in a house that is constantly being destroyed and rebuilt as a result of their various misadventures. The show's humor often comes from the contrast between the elegant, refined I.M. Weasel and the goofy, clumsy I.R. Baboon, as well as their interactions with the other bizarre, often surreal characters that populate their world.

One of the most memorable aspects of I am Weasel is the voice acting. I.M. Weasel is voiced by Michael Dorn, who is best known for his role as Worf on Star Trek: The Next Generation. Dorn brings an air of authority and sophistication to the character, making it all the funnier when I.M. Weasel finds himself in ridiculous situations. I.R. Baboon is voiced by Charlie Adler, who also provided the voice of Cow and Chicken's arch enemy, the Red Guy. Adler brings a great sense of physical comedy to the role, using his voice to convey Baboon's hapless stumbling and bumbling.

One of the show's recurring themes is I.M. Weasel's status as a superhero of sorts. He often swoops in to save the day when other characters, including I.R. Baboon, are in trouble. However, he does so with a kind of detached, unemotional coolness that sets him apart from other superheroes. His catchphrase, "I am Weasel" spoken in a slightly British accent, has become something of a pop culture catchphrase.

Another fun aspect of the show is the way it plays with different cultural references. I.M. Weasel is often shown engaging in highbrow pursuits, such as playing classical music or performing Shakespearean monologues. Meanwhile, I.R. Baboon is more likely to be found belching or stuffing his face with junk food. However, despite the obvious differences in their tastes and intelligence levels, the two characters remain good friends and seem to genuinely care about each other.

Overall, I am Weasel is a charming and hilarious cartoon series that still holds up today. The show's quirky characters, offbeat sense of humor, and clever voice acting make it a delight to watch. Whether you're a fan of classic cartoons from the '90s or just looking for a fun distraction, I am Weasel is well worth checking out.
