I am Sorry, I Love You is a 2004 South Korean television drama starring So Ji-sub, Im Su-jeong, Jung Kyung-ho, Seo Ji-young, Choi Yeo-jin, and David No. It aired on KBS2 from November 8 to December 28, 2004 for 16 episodes. The drama tells the story of Cha Moo-hyuk (So Ji-sub), a troubled young man who was abandoned by his parents as a child and grew up in an orphanage. As an adult, Moo-hyuk is a rebellious and cynical soul trying to find his place in the world. He makes a living as a swindler, conning rich people out of their money. During one of his scams, he crosses paths with Song Eun-chae (Im Su-jeong), a sweet and innocent young woman who starts to change his perspective on life.

Eun-chae was adopted by a wealthy family and has led a sheltered life. She develops feelings for Moo-hyuk, seeing the good in him despite his flaws. But their blossoming romance hits obstacles due to their very different backgrounds. Eun-chae's adoptive brother Choi Yoon-seok (Jung Kyung-ho) strongly disapproves of Moo-hyuk and tries to keep them apart.

As Moo-hyuk and Eun-chae struggle to stay together against the odds, Moo-hyuk receives the shocking news that he has a brain tumor and doesn't have long to live. Not wanting to burden Eun-chae with his illness, Moo-hyuk distances himself from her, which causes misunderstandings in their relationship. In his final months, Moo-hyuk sets out to resolve his past issues, reconnect with the people he pushed away, and do what he can to protect Eun-chae before his time runs out.

With its emotional story and strong leads, I am Sorry, I Love You was one of the highest rated Korean dramas of 2004.
