McCall is shot and paralyzed while investigating the murder of a prostitute. Hunter's search for her assailant leads to a prostitution ring operating out of motor homes owned by a flamboyant recreational vehicle dealer, Big Jack Hemmings. When secret files supplied by one of Big Jack's employees, Laura Decker, implicate Jack in a bank swindle, Hunter believes he's got the evidence he needs, unaware that a killer has been hired to eliminate Hunter.
