In Hunter x Hunter season 1 episode 11, titled "Explore x Sports Spirit x Stowaway," the story follows protagonist Gon, his friends Killua and Leorio, and examiner Satotz as they enter the fourth and final stage of the Hunter Exam: Zevil Island. Their task is to explore the island and find their way to the finish line within a set time limit.
The group quickly learns that Zevil Island is filled with dangerous creatures and is not an ordinary island. They encounter obstacles such as giant insects, quicksand, and even hidden traps. Despite the challenges, Gon and his friends use their unique skills and teamwork to make their way through the island efficiently.
Their exploration leads them to an area known as the Trick Tower, where they are greeted by other participants of the Hunter Exam. The Trick Tower is a towering structure with multiple levels, and the objective is to reach the top. The catch is that each level has a specific challenge that must be completed before ascending to the next level.
Gon and his friends team up with a group of examinees to climb the tower. The first challenge involves a game of rock-paper-scissors, where the losers are thrown into a hallway filled with dangerous traps. This challenge highlights the mental aspects of the Hunter Exam, as Gon and Killua use their quick thinking to win the game.
The group eventually reaches the top of the Trick Tower, only to find that they still have a long way to go before they can complete the exam. After descending the tower, Gon and his friends find themselves stranded on a boat in the middle of the ocean. They soon discover that a stowaway is aboard the ship and must decide whether to turn him in to the examiners or help him achieve his own goals.
