Ep 13. Letter x From x Gon

After completing their first phase of the Hunter Exam, the remaining candidates have a few days to rest and recover before the next phase. Gon, eager to hear from his father, receives a letter from him and heads to the post office to pick it up.

Meanwhile, Kurapika and Leorio decide to spend their free time training together, but their peaceful afternoon is interrupted by a group of rowdy men. Kurapika, fueled by his desire for revenge against the Kurta Clan's massacre, prepares to fight them, but is stopped by Leorio, who forces him to rethink his priorities and reminds him of their goal to become Hunters.

Back at the post office, Gon is ecstatic to read his father's letter, which contains a hidden message challenging Gon to meet him at the top of the world-famous Hunter's Tower. Gon, eager to accept the challenge, must find a way to get to the tower before the deadline given by his father, all while keeping the details of the letter a secret from his fellow candidates.

As Gon embarks on his journey to the tower, he is joined by Kilua, who becomes intrigued by his friend's determination and offers his help. The two encounter a variety of obstacles along the way, including dangerous wildlife and treacherous terrain, but eventually reach the base of the tower.

However, before they can enter, they are confronted by Hisoka, one of the candidates who has already passed the Hunter Exam and is waiting for Gon to arrive. Hisoka challenges Gon to a fight, claiming that if he wins, he will take Gon's Hunter license.

Gon, determined to protect his license as well as his chance to meet his father, agrees to the challenge, and a heated battle ensues. The two fight fiercely, with Gon pushing his limits and demonstrating his unwavering determination to succeed.

In the end, however, Hisoka proves to be the stronger opponent, and Gon is defeated. Despite this setback, Gon refuses to give up, and declares that he will continue to pursue his goal of becoming a Hunter, no matter what obstacles he may face.

As the episode ends, Gon and Kilua make their way into the tower, determined to reach its summit and achieve their dreams.
