Ep 7. Trial and Error

In season 1 episode 7 of Hudson & Rex, titled Trial and Error, Detective Charlie Hudson (John Reardon) and his trusty K-9 partner Rex are tasked with unraveling the mystery of a double murder at a high-end law firm. The murders seem to be related to the high-stakes trial of a notorious businessman, who is accused of running an illegal Ponzi scheme that defrauded countless investors of millions of dollars.

As the investigation proceeds, Hudson and Rex find themselves caught in the middle of a complex web of deceit and corruption as they try to sniff out the real killer. Along the way, they encounter a colorful cast of characters, including a crooked judge, a shifty lawyer, and a sleazy financial adviser, all of whom appear to be hiding something.

As the pressure mounts to solve the case before the big trial, Hudson must also deal with personal issues at home, including a strained relationship with his daughter and the question of whether to introduce his new girlfriend to his skeptical mother.

With the clock ticking, Hudson and Rex race against time to bring the killer to justice and put an end to the deadly conspiracy before it's too late. Along the way, they learn that when it comes to solving a crime, sometimes the key is not in the evidence, but in the instincts of a loyal dog and his devoted human partner.
