The show "How To Get Away With Murder" season 2 episode 12 is titled "It's a Trap" and follows the aftermath of a shocking revelation from the previous episode. Annalise Keating (played by Viola Davis) is still struggling to come to terms with the fact that her husband, Sam, was not only having an affair with one of her law students, Lila, but that he also murdered her. Meanwhile, Annalise's team of law students are dealing with their own personal and legal problems as they try to navigate through the repercussions of the trial.
The episode starts off with Annalise receiving a surprising visit from Sam's sister, who reveals that Sam's first wife had committed suicide years ago. This information adds fuel to the already burning fire of Annalise's emotions and she becomes even more determined to clear her late husband's name. However, she soon finds out that this may be harder than she initially thought as a key witness in the trial is reluctant to testify.
In an effort to turn the case around, Annalise and her team come up with a risky plan to trap the witness. They set up a fake crime scene at the witness's house and make it look like he was involved in a hit-and-run accident. The plan works and the witness ends up confessing to his involvement in Lila's murder. However, things take a turn for the worse when Annalise's client, Rebecca, is kidnapped and held for ransom.
While Annalise and her team scramble to find Rebecca, they also start to question whether they have been targeted by someone who knows the truth about Lila's murder. As the episodes progresses, more twists and turns are revealed, including a shocking revelation about one of the law students. The tension builds up to a nail-biting climax as Annalise and her team race against time to save Rebecca and finally uncover the truth about Lila's murder.
