Ep 23. The Magician's Code - Part 1

Barney Stinson, an extravagant personality from the social circle, is preparing to wed Robin Scherbatsky in the event of a lifetime. Ted Mosby, their mutual friend, reveals his plan of moving to Chicago when Barney receives a call from Nora, his ex-girlfriend. He and Nora have broken up after her lawyer father barred her from dating Barney upon learning about his lifestyle. Upon realizing his genuine feelings for Nora, Barney decides to reach out and showcase his commitment to her. Lily and Marshall, Ted's best friends and soul mates, are about to have a baby and eagerly anticipate the arrival. Meanwhile, Barney's brother James decides to come to town for the wedding. Ted's ex-roommate, Zoey, seems to be making progress in mending her relationship with Ted. One half of the Magician's Code is revealed in this episode as we see Ted looking back and recounting how Barney revealed this mysterious code to him.
