House season 7 episode 6 titled "Office Politics" follows the medical team as they diagnose a patient who comes in with sudden and unexplained paralysis. The team, led by Dr. House, immediately begins to investigate the patient's symptoms and medical history in order to arrive at a quick diagnosis and treatment plan.
However, tensions arise within the team as they clash over their individual opinions and methods of diagnosis. Foreman, one of House's senior colleagues, is convinced that they are dealing with a case of spinal cord cancer while Taub, another senior colleague, believes that the patient's symptoms are indicative of a parasitic infection.
As the team members go head to head in their diagnostic approaches, House becomes increasingly frustrated with the lack of progress and the disruption to his own work schedule.
Meanwhile, a separate plot unfolds as House's assistant, Thirteen, seeks to uncover the source of a co-worker's sudden promotion. Thirteen becomes caught up in the corporate politics of the hospital, leading her to question the motives and integrity of those around her.
As the episode progresses, both storylines intersect in surprising ways, ultimately leading to a dramatic conclusion. Through the lens of this single case, the show explores themes of power dynamics, professional competition, and ethical behavior in both the medical and corporate fields.
