In "Instant Karma," the fourth episode of House's sixth season, the hospital is overrun with patients as a result of an accident at a local street fair. House assigns his team to separate cases, including a teenager who experiences strange visions after being injured in a car accident and a woman who claims to have been impregnated by a Martian.
As usual, House is reluctant to take on the cases himself, preferring to delegate the job to his team. But as he observes his team's work, he becomes increasingly convinced that they are focusing on the wrong things. He decides to take over the cases himself, and he quickly begins to unravel the secrets of his patients' conditions.
The teenage patient's visions lead House to suspect a pituitary tumor, while the woman's supposed extraterrestrial involvement leads him to believe that she is actually suffering from a rare autoimmune disorder. Despite facing resistance from some of his team members, House is able to confirm his diagnoses and prescribe treatments that ultimately help his patients.
Along the way, House is forced to deal with an old acquaintance who has been stalking him. He eventually confronts the woman, who he suspects may be seeking revenge for some past wrongs. House tries to get to the bottom of the woman's motivations, even enlisting the help of his team to dig up dirt on her. Ultimately, House is able to put an end to the woman's harassment and move on with his life.
"Instant Karma" is yet another gripping episode of House that highlights the show's strengths. With its complex medical cases, sharp writing, and compelling characters, this episode is a must-watch for fans of the series.
