In House season 1 episode 22, titled "Honeymoon", Dr. Gregory House and his team take on a puzzling case involving a newlywed couple. The couple had just returned from their honeymoon and the wife, who had been suffering from flu-like symptoms, suddenly collapses and goes into a coma. The husband also starts experiencing similar symptoms, leading the team to believe that whatever is causing the illness is contagious.
As House and his team work to unravel the mystery, they discover that the couple had visited a resort in Africa on their honeymoon and may have been exposed to an unknown virus. However, as they investigate further, they realize that the illness is not caused by a virus but by a fungus instead. They find that the fungus has spread throughout the couple's body, causing organ failure and multiple other symptoms.
The team must race against time to find a cure for the fungus before it's too late for the couple. With House's unorthodox methods and quick thinking, they are able to come up with a treatment plan, but it may be too risky to try on such a critically ill patient.
Meanwhile, House is dealing with his own issues as he struggles with his addiction to pain medication. He continues to hide his addiction from his colleagues and friends, but it's becoming increasingly difficult to keep up the facade.
As the episode comes to a close, House is faced with a life-changing decision that could impact not only his career but his personal life as well. Will he choose to confront his addiction or continue to suffer in silence? And will the newlywed couple survive the ordeal they've been put through? Tune in to find out.
