She meets with a group of congressmen to discuss the bill, however, they do not take her seriously and the meeting ends up being a failure. This leads Claire to try to find a way to gain more influence in Washington.
Overall, House of Cards season 1 episode 2 is an intriguing insight into the world of politics and political power games. The episode highlights Frank's cunning and manipulation as well as Claire's struggles to make an impact.
