Ep 1. Paranormal Predator

They check into a hotel that's said to be one of the most haunted in the area, but Amber brushes off the stories as superstition. However, while she's in the shower, she starts to feel like something is touching her. She assumes it's her boyfriend playing a prank, but when she opens the shower curtain, nobody is there. Later, she opens the curtains in their room to find a woman standing outside, staring at her. Again, nobody is there when she goes to investigate.

Finally, viewers hear from a group of paranormal investigators who spend their nights in haunted hotels looking for evidence of ghostly activity. They recount an experience they had at a hotel that was the site of multiple murders and suicides. When they entered the room where most of the incidents had taken place, they immediately felt a presence and saw shadowy figures moving around the room. One of the investigators even claimed to be physically touched by an unseen force.

Throughout the episode, the viewer also sees reenactments of the various encounters, which serve to enhance the creepiness factor. The stories are all narrated by Dan Aykroyd, who injects a bit of humor into his delivery despite the spooky subject matter.

"Paranormal Predator" serves as a solid introduction to Hotel Paranormal, laying out the basic format of the show and giving viewers a taste of the kinds of stories they can expect to hear. It's a chilling hour of television that will make viewers think twice before checking into their next hotel room.
