Ep 14. 2001 Hot Rod Power Tour Part 2

In this episode of Hot Rod TV, we continue our coverage of the 2001 Hot Rod Power Tour. The tour is a seven-day road trip that showcases some of the most impressive hot rods and customs in the country. This year's tour traveled through the American Midwest, and we joined in for the second half of the trip.

The show kicks off with a visit to the Indianapolis Motor Speedway, where a group of Power Tour participants get the chance to take their cars on the legendary track. We meet a couple of hot rodders who've brought custom-built cars to the tour. One is a 1966 Chevy Nova that has been completely rebuilt from the ground up and fitted with a supercharged LS engine. The other is a 1951 Studebaker that's been modified with a modern suspension system and a 500-horsepower V8.

Next, we hop on the road and visit a local museum that's hosting a Power Tour party. We meet some of the other participants and check out their rides. One car that catches our eye is a 1969 Camaro that's been restored to pristine condition. The owner tells us about the car's history and the work that went into bringing it back to its former glory.

After the museum party, we hit the road again and chat with some of the Power Tour drivers as we roll down the highway. Along the way, we stop at a drag strip for some racing action. We watch as some of the quickest cars on the tour go head-to-head on the track, and we even get to ride along in a few of them.

Next up, we visit the National Corvette Museum in Bowling Green, Kentucky. The museum is home to hundreds of classic and modern Corvettes, and we get a behind-the-scenes tour of the facility. We also take a look at some of the museum's exhibits, including a display of the rarest and most valuable Corvettes ever produced.

Our final stop on this episode of Hot Rod TV is the Cruise Night in Bowling Green. This is the final stop on the 2001 Hot Rod Power Tour, and it's a chance for all of the participants to show off their cars and celebrate the end of a great week on the road. We check out some amazing rides and chat with some of the drivers about their experiences on the tour.
